A non-diabetic person will have a reading between 4% and 6%. A diabetic reading is 6.5% or higher. A reading of 5.7% - 6.4% is cautionary for pre-diabetes, and in this case ones doctor may want to suggest careful management of diet to bring the blood sugar down below 5.6%!
With a reading of 5.4%, I'm feeling pretty proud!
